Generally, I charge by the project. The project fee is “all-inclusive:” research, brainstorming, writing, phone/email communications, and up to two rounds of revisions. Clients often enjoy the ability to budget for the project with no surprises when the invoice arrives. However, if you have a small project or a very large project where it’s hard to estimate how much time will be involved, I may recommend an hourly rate instead.
